Statement from the Chairman of Artemis Racing

Congratulations to Stijn Paardekooper, the 2012 Optimist European Champion. Stijn used the D-Zero-6 and wanted to tell us about his recent victory:
"In light conditions, the D-Zero-6 is perfect for me, and gave me a speed advantage over my competitors. Even when my starts were not always perfect I could develop more speed than the other sailors. This resulted in a very consistent series for me, where my worst finish was a 9th place. Thank you for developing such a fast Optimist sail!"

Dear Micro class sailors!

        In some countries sailing season is already opened, in some - it was never closed, but in Latvia it is about to open in the beginning of May. And as most probably you are now planning your own sailing season it is great honor for us to share this information and invite you to participate in one of Euro Micro Cup competitions from June 1st to 3rd in the Usma Lake.

The RYA Tribunal met on 9 February 2012 to consider a report dated 14 December 2011 received pursuant to the Racing Rules of Sailing Rule 69.1(c) from the International Jury at the ISAF Sailing World Championships held in Perth in December 2011.

The Tribunal agreed with the decision of the International Jury that the behaviour of Mr Ben Ainslie amounted to a gross breach of good manners and conduct that brought the sport into disrepute.
